Turbonycoil 640 oil has received approval for compliance with MIL-PRF-23699 HTS specification

Turbonycoil 640, NYCO’s HTS/HPC turbine oil, has been approved to meet the U.S. Department of Defense MIL-PRF-23699 HTS specification. This certification incorporates the latest technological developments that require oils that can withstand higher equipment operating temperatures.

Turbonycoil 640 was added to the Qualified Products List in late December 2014, concurrent with the SAE AS5780 HPC qualification, covering all military specification requirements as well as OEM specific requirements.

Turbonycoil 640 is designed for use in hot and very hot engines in military and civil aviation. This oil shows outstanding results in such demanding applications as helicopter thrust, heavy ground equipment with high-temperature gas turbines and aviation-type gas turbines – Siemens / Rolls Royce 501-K and Trent, Pratt & Whitney FT8.

As reported by YUKOIL LLC, the official representative of NYCO in Ukraine, “Now NYCO offers a full range of high-quality turbine oils: Turbonycoil 600 STD / SPC class and Turbonycoil 640 HTS / HPC class; as well as low-viscosity oils for specific use (emergency aircraft turbines, adjustable horizontal stabilizers) or operations in low temperature conditions – Turbonycoil 160 and Turbonycoil 400.” Let us recall that Turbonycoil 640 is a lubricating oil with a viscosity of 5 centistokes at a temperature of 100° C. This oil is a combination of a base in the form of polyol esters with high thermal stability and a carefully selected unique additive package, including antioxidant, antiwear and anticorrosive additives.
