NYCOSOL 13

FUEL ICING INHIBITOR, HIGH FLASH POINT

DESCRIPTION

NYCOSOL 13 is made of diethylene glycol methyl ether (DIEGME), also called methyldiglycol, and contains the antioxidant mandatory for MIL-DTL-85470.

APPLICATIONS

NYCOSOL 13 is intended to be added to jet fuel to prevent formation of ice crystals that may interfere with the operation of the aircraft fuel system at low temperature (filters, pumps and valves).
It has a high flash point and has replaced ethylene glycol methyl ether (EGME) as fuel icing inhibitor.
It meets the requirements of MIL-DTL-85740B and DEF STAN 68-252, and is DCSEA 745/B approved.
The treatment rate is from 0,07 to 0,15%.
NYCOSOL 13 can be used in replacement of fluid I (specification GOST 8313-88) and fluid I-M (specification OST 54-3-175-73-99) as anti-water crystallization agent in hydrocarbon fuels such as TS-1, RT and Jet A-1.

NYCOSOL 131

FUEL ICING INHIBITOR, HIGH FLASH POINT, WITH ANTI-CORROSION & LUBRICATING ADDITIVE

DESCRIPTION

NYCOSOL 131 is a ready-to-use blend of diethylene glycol methyl ether (DIEGME) with 1,5% of the anti-corrosion and lubricity improver S-1747.

APPLICATIONS

NYCOSOL 131 is intended to be added to jet fuel to prevent the formation of ice crystals at low temperature that may cause interfere with the operation of the aircraft fuel system (filters, pumps & valves).
It also contains the anti-corrosion and lubricity additive that is mandatory to obtain the military fuel F-34 (JP8) from the commercial fuel Jet A1 (F-35).
By using NYCOSOL 131 operators can prepare F-34 with only one blending operation and avoid inadequate dosing of the additive in the fuel.
The treatment rate is from 0,01 to 0,15%.
NYCOSOL 131 meets the requirements of DEF STAN 68-150 and is DCSEA 745/B approved.

NYCOPROTEC® 8188

DESCRIPTION
Nycoprotec 8188 is a 3 cSt oil at 100°C and is made of neopolyol esters, anti-oxydant, anti-wear
and corrosion inhibitors.

APPLICATIONS
Nycoprotec 8188 is designed to provide protection against corrosion in gas turbine engine
lubrication system during storage.
Due to its chemical nature and characteristics very close from that of turbine oils, it is not required to flush the
lubrication system prior to filling with the turbine oil for the operation of the gas turbine.
It is compatible with turbine oils complying with MIL-PRF-7808, MIL-PRF-23699 and DoD-PRF-85734 specifications.
