Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) selects Nyco Grease GN 148, NYCO’s latest development, as the primary lubricant for use on all aircraft types in the Air France fleet, including the Boeing 747 and 777, as well as the Airbus A380, A340, A330 and A320.
“NYCO provides technical support for AFI KLM E&M lubricants through a long-term partner program. We are pleased to work together to expand the range of applications for this lubricant and as a result help Air France rationalize its lubricant consumption,” said Guillaume Forestier, head of NYCO’s Aviation Division.
Air France is the first airline to generalize the use of Nyco Grease GN 148 as a multi-purpose grease on a mixed fleet of aircraft. This rationalized the number of lubricants used, resulting in simplified maintenance tasks for a large fleet of mixed aircraft types.
Approved to meet the requirements of all major specifications, including BMS 3-33 B, AIMS 09-06-002, MIL-PRF-23827 C and SAE AMS 3052, Nyco Grease GN 148 can be used in commercial aviation for 90% of maintenance activities requiring lubrication, including the following components – actuators, doors, flaps, flaps, blades, bearings, landing gear, and horizontal stabilizer.
